Got back from holiday 8 weeks ago, now I can said final year is here and exam is not that far away. I am so bored from my revision now but I don't want to go home yet so might as well type something on this blog since it had been sleeping for quite some times. Just a brief recall for what I did since I am back.

First and Second week:
  • busy with clinical project
  • preparing for mtas
  • attended lectures which everyone kept saying is for F1 and F2 (internship) instead of final year.
  • I even remembered there is one lecture on how to handle stress during foundation programme. All sorts of things came up during that lecture.

Third, Fourth and Fifth week:
  • got posted to Enniskillen for 3 weeks medicine posting (some peripheral hospital is like a world for itself)
  • cold cold hopsital and accomodation. I will say is the coldest hospital that I ever been. No heating in the room at all. Everyone have to wrap themselve up in the halls. But one good thing is the accomodation is in the hospital, so if you didn't go out you are basically 24/7 in the hospital.
  • questioned badly by the consultant make me feel like I am totally not prepare for final year yet. (Not that I am now but hope I will be in few weeks time)
  • submitted my MTAS and announced to all my friend that I didn't apply Northern Ireland for MTAS, instead I applied England. Hope I can get it. Lots of explaination was done for not choosing NI..
  • Had a luxury and expensive birthday dinner in Erne (celebrate one of the SHO birthday)
  • Get to become a book worm in Erne.
  • Spent most of the time talking C*** with Wei Ming and Daniel in Erne..

Sixth and Seventh Week:
  • Cardiology in Royal Victoria Hospital for 2 weeks
  • Didn't go in for full day and spend most of my time studying
  • Celebrated my 23rd birthday thanks to all my friend.
  • San Fui flew over from Barrow to suprise me during my birthday (Thanks Fui)
  • Thank you everyone for all the presents, cards and wishes
  • Get my swine flu jab; isn't that bad only had sore arm for few days.
  • Get drunk again this birthday but isn't as bad as last year.
  • Watched 2012 (amazing, recommended) and New Moon (mmm not for guys, for gals; all the gals screamed in cinema when Jacob took off his top)

This week, I am having my self directed learning week which for the past 2 years I called it extra holiday but not this year. This year self directed learning really meant to be a study break. I had been camping in the library almost everyday. Camping in this new university main library.

Comments for this library:
  • The design is great and modern
  • Get to sit the side and next to it is botanic garden so get some nice view as well whenever it is sunny (which is not that often)
  • Comfortable chair
  • Get to borrow laptop from library for 3 hours without any website restriction. (The library computers are always not available and they restrict all the social website during office hour, with this laptop, I get to blog, facebook and watch youtube in the library without bring my own laptop which I am doing it now)
  • The window curtain will close automatically whenever is too sunny outside...

Well after all the positive comment then come to negative comment. (Learned this during GP attachement, we should always give positive comment before negative comment)
  • sometimes can be quite annoying that the windows will automatically open and close which is very noisy and make the library cold. It happened all day yesterday but amazing that it doesn't happen today.
  • the lights will automatically turn on and off according to the brightness from outside so you will easily get distracted (or maybe only for me)
  • no phone zone in the library so everytime have to run all the way down and go out of the library to talk on the phone ( I know library isn't suppose to use phone)

I am just sitting here, outside is dark and raining, my paediatric textbook is in front of me and don' feel like continue but I know is not gonna happen. I have to go back.

PS: for SO-p, sorry I don't think I am going down to Dublin during January exam coming... Sorry sorry...
